  • Everyone thinks that Takasu Ryuuji is a juvenile delinquent. But he's not. He just has squinty eyes, which make him look like he's glaring even when he's not. Really, he's just a normal high school guy with a demented parakeet, a mom who sleeps all day because she works nights at a club, a bespectacled best friend, and a huge crush on Kushieda Minori, a cheerful girl in his class. But then he finds a love note to his best friend in his bag, put there accidentally by the meanest, toughest girl in [...]

  • 3.5 stars.I watched the anime many years ago, and I decided to start with the manga. I can honestly say that I like the anime more. There is a lot of dynamic, lots of action in here, that just doesn't translate well to print. A lot of the humour is lost (to me) and I don't like Taiga that much.Taiga in the anime was a total bitch, but in this one she is that even more. Or it just has been too long since I last watched the anime. :) Either way, I found her actions particularly mean and rude. So o [...]

  • Loved the main character Ryuji ( a.k. a Dragon). He is a total sweetheart. However, the main girl Taiga (a.k.a Tiger) gets on my nerves sometimes. I have some problems with extreme tsundere types. Still their interactions were enjoyable.

  • Since I've already reviewed the Toradora light novel there's not much point in me rehashing my thoughts on the plot and characters. This manga adaptation is exceedingly faithful to the source material -- more so than the anime, which, though excellent, had to compress all ten novels into about twelve hours -- and captures the essence of the story, though we do sometimes lose Ryuuji's thought process.Zekkyo's artwork, like the anime, is based upon Yasu's illustrations from the novels, so the char [...]

  • Promising start for the series. Only quirky thing I have a beef with is the wayyyy to passive character of the boy. Ryuuji let's Taiga work him to the core, physically abuses him at times and yet he's still ok with it! You need to stand up for yourself boy!!! I know there's this universal code where you aren't advised to hit girls, but that doesn't mean you cannot tell her to grow the fuck up and learn to clean up her own shit and grow some fucking manners. Being filthy rich doesn't give you the [...]

  • Of all the ways for two characters to be brought together being united in an oblivious attempt to pursue other romantic interests is possibly one of my favourites. I'll help you with you're crush, if you help me with mine! Hijinx ensue!! I think this first volume of Toradora is a great jumping off point. It sets up the characters personalities so perfectly that you just know this is going to be good. Our two leads, Takasu Ryuuji and Aisaka Taiga, may not not seem like a good fit at first, but yo [...]

  • It was meh. I thought I would like it a lot more than I did. It's super Tsundere, and sadly, there was nothing I saw to like about Taiga, the tsundere rep. I found her more annoying than anything else.A friend had suggested I watch the anime. Instead, I read the manga. Perhaps I should've taken my friend's suggestion more literally.

  • Toradora! [ とらドラ ]Taiga Aisaka and Ryūji Takasu. Taiga and tora: Tiger ( とら )Ryū: Dragon ( ドラゴン )

  • "Toradora!" was the anime series that made me like anime and Japanese TV shows in general. But the manga is somewhat different from the anime, which makes it even better because it feels like I'm reading different aspects of the same characters. Taiga was my favorite in the anime, and she's my favorite in the manga as well. She is very clumsy and has a personality that kind of doesn't fit her personality. But during the manga we see that her personality isn't all bad - she actually tries to get [...]

  • I was a little skeptical of this manga, seeing as it fit so many different manga cliches. Two lead characters who are perfect for each other but are oblivious to it? Check. Cute high school atmosphere? Check. Technically almost all of the stuff in this series have been used before in various different manga & anime series. Yet when this series puts it together it's absolutely fantastic. I just couldn't put this manga down & I hated that I didn't have all of the volumes in front of me to [...]

  • (Review based on watching the Anime)I loved the complexity of the characters sophisticated they were, far from boring each and every one of them. Minorine was probably my favourite character. I also loved how the love story here was based on going through situations together on experience and wasnt really like those first-sight-omg-iamyoursforever so called love stories. What i didin't love was how cheesy some parts where. And how Ruijji (the spelling is probably wrong) let Tiaga be so mean to h [...]

  • Word of the day: HelluvaSo I actually haven't read all the volumes yet. This is due to reasons our nearest bookstore manager could not quit explain. I can write how the whole conversation went but even for me that would be helluva waste of time. and I'm still pissed, no make the helluva pissed.(He's a Manager of a bookstore and he doesn't know what a manga is. When I showed him their poor collection. He called themANIME)Moving on. I've seen the Anime version 2 yrs ago. and so far its still my fav [...]

  • After finishing the anime, I wanted to linger with the characters some more. So, I decided to pick up the manga. The manga does not disappoint, and, dare I say, it might be better than the anime. Both are excellent however. I love the characters in this story and the variety of emotions and struggles that the readers gets to journey with them through. I've only just finished volume 1 and I've begun volume 2, but I'm already enjoying being with the characters again.

  • The volume starts off with Chapter 1: The Palmtop Tiger Arrives.I'll write more when editing mode hits me. Cheers Pretties!

  • For plot, I would give this a 9/10, purely because I love the idea of this story. I think a lot of manga plots are very absurd and too complicated at times, but this basic but great plot was very ideal. For characters I would give this a 8/10, I loved and ABSOLUTEY adored the "taiga". She was the cutest and has the most relatable appetite. I also think Ryuji is really funny, and I ship them. But the one flaw is Kitamura and Minori. UGH! Minori is too hyper and a walking stereotype. As for, Kitam [...]

  • I'm going to start this review by saying that I don't particularly gravitate towards YA contemporary, so its not surprising that I wasn't overly enamoured with this. I liked the story but nothing really happened. It was entirely focused around the fact that the two main characters had crushes on each others friendsd not much else. That being said I really liked what I read, its not mind-blowing, its nothing new but it was just a cute fluffy read. Although both Takasu Ryuuji and Aisaka Taiga have [...]

  • Aisaka Taiga said "Well, what do you know for once, you actually said something that made a modicum of sense. I guess even a moron gets it right every century or so" (123). This quote stands out to me because it reminds you of the furious side of Taiga. Toradora! by Yuyuko Takemiya is about Takasu Ryuuji's beginning days of his junior year in high school. To start with, Ryuuji has his first incounter with "The Plamtop Tiger" also known as Aisaka Taiga. Also, Taiga breaks into Ryuuji's house. Fur [...]

  • Drugie mangowe 5/5 😄 Tutaj mamy do czynienia ze śmieszną,uroczą historią.Szkoła.On podkochuje się w innej dziewczynie, ona w innym chłopaku.

  • Toradora is about a guy who looks like they could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll, and a girl who looks like a cinnamon roll but could actually kill you.

  • Cute little teenage romcom manga. Great for those days where you just want something fun to flip through and doesn't take much thought or have much intensity. Will read more of this one.
