  • Erin Lark

I m a huge fan of second chances and all things paranormal But when it comes to writing, my real passion lies in heroes that aren t too over the top and feisty heroines able to hold their own.If I m not writing, chances are I m either out hiking, binge watching an entire series on Netflix, or playing video games with my husband.

  • Review written for Hearts On Fire Reviews - 4 starsThis was not an easy story, nor was it very difficult. Simon was abused terribly by his boyfriend, and after his last trip to the hospital nearly killed him, he did the only thing he thought was possible at the time – to run. He disappears from the hospital and his family, changes his identity and starts his life over as a new person. Shortly after, he meets David and has been seemingly happily hiding away with him for all this time. Unfortuna [...]

  • Simon has a secret he has been living with for a few yearswho he really is isn't known to anyone, including his boyfriend David. That is until his past and present collide, and Simon's life is spun out of control. He is spun out of control.I really enjoyed David, he was the bestest, most understanding boyfriend ever. Simon hit the lottery with David.Simon's family was the pitst terribly awful, but not as supportive and understanding as one would expect in his situation.I was not sure how it was [...]

  • DNF at 40%No, I don't want to read on. The beginning was good, but then Simon became a person I couldn't relate to, his change was that drastic. I couldn't even follow his reasonings in dealing with David. After reading Thomaidha Papa's review I decided to give up.

  • This was a fairly quick read about two established lovers, Simon and David. These guys have been happy together for nearly 5 years, but then it turns out that Simon has a secret past life. I really don't want to spoiler too much, but after Simon's face accidentally gets aired on TV, his past starts haunting him again. Then a surprise phone call in the middle of the night brings his world crashing down. Simon has been able to escape from his past for 6 years, but now he has David, and there's now [...]

  • 3 HeartsReview written for MM Good Book Reviewsmmgoodbookreviews.wordpress/The blurb of a book can at times lead you toward what you’re about to read or mislead you. In this case it’s not that helpful as it mostly confuses you.Simon is this character who when we first meet him in the book he appears strong and confident. He is in a relationship with David for over five years, has a club that he’s managed to make quite popular and friends he can count on. He is in charge of his life and he [...]

  • 1.5 stars. This was all over the place. The switching POV here was irritating and the characters just too shallowly written to empathize with. I should have been in tears over Simon's experiences, but I was almost bored listening to his sister's recital of what had happened to him (another mistake - an unknown third party giving a bland recital of Simon's story made every fuck I might give about his trauma disappear). And David's reaction - after finding out his partner of five years was lying t [...]

  • I read in someone else's review that Simon hit the lottery with David, and I couldn't have said it better myself, he was incredible and Simon was so lucky to find him after everything he went through. It was crazy to think that Simon hid such a huge secret from David, and for as long as he did. But once David found out, he was definitely Simons rock, he was amazing. I felt bad that Simon had to relive everything he went through, but it made him a better person for dealing with it head on instead [...]
